For Fall ball, Sherwood does not hold a tryout, they rely on their Spring registration and season details.
Therefore, the initial rosters will be built on the following logic:
Incoming 4th, 6th, and 8th grade players will play fall ball at the same level they played in the spring.
Incoming 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th graders will all play at the National level with the only caveat being those players who played at the Federal level in the spring.
Any other roster adjustments will be made with the support of the level coordinator and previous season coaches' support and feedback.
All new Sherwood players will play at the National level for their age division.
-
For Fall ball, ensuring that we have games that are balanced appropriately for teams is one of our primary concerns. This year, we are trialing a new model to help support balancing teams across the registration.
In concept, we are running the entire season like a tournament. With three rounds of pool play (three weekends) and then four weekends of bracket play that will balance teams across a winners and consolation bracket.
If we find during the first three weekends of Pool play that a team(s) doesn’t fit in the current pool, we will simply adjust before announcing the schedule for the following week.
Schedules for each week will be posted by Tuesday by 6pm.
